One of the sites I frequent on an almost daily basis is PZ Myers’ Pharyngula. I rarely read the comment threads, however, since his followers are numerous and entertaining enough in their own right that most of my day would be spent chasing their links, mulling over their points, laughing at their jokes, and maybe, if I’m feeling bold, composing my own comment on whatever tangent they’ve steered PZ’s thread to. Today, I bit the bullet, though, and I am very glad that I did.

FTC and Blogs

The FTC recently released new guidelines requiring bloggers to reveal their relationships to companies whose products or services they review in their blogs. (See Commercial Appeal article here.)

Anyone else surprised the FTC would even attempt to tell bloggers how to blog?
