I am all choked up at the support I am getting – I can’t believe it…

The stupid thing is, I only sent that email because I was scared of them.

We made a lawful protest outside their AGM on December 5th last.

The day before they approached one of us and invited us all in to the AGM, and for discussion afterwards.

When we arrived they announced everyone was welcome except me (fine, after their attutude to the Equality Tribunal I could not have been dragged in in chains) but when the tre three others (we were joined by more later) tried to go in they demanded one person (a former founder member of Aspire) be ejected, before they reached the room, and to add injury to insult demanded that a young staff member who has known, and respected, him since he was a teen, be the one to do the ejecting.

The personal hostility and callous indifference was as palpable as their determination to humiliate us.

Later, I was scared to death of further reprisals and sent the mail to try and ensure that their response to our lawful protest remained open and above board. I live in fear of them silencing me by finding ways to have my essential supports withdrawn.

So far I seem to be succeeding.

But seriously, you’re right and I try to keep that thought in the front of my mind whenever I am around children, my own or others. FSM knows many don’t get the encouragement they deserve at home and it doesn’t take much effort on my part to brighten their day.
